Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jale Naktiyok is a researcher in chemical engineering whose work focuses on thermal analysis, reaction kinetics, combustion, pyrolysis, and the degradation behaviour of diverse materials including coals, polymers, cementitious composites, and fuel blends. She has established scientific expertise in characterizing high-temperature material responses using advanced thermal techniques such as TGA, DTG, DSC, FTIR, and BET, contributing to improved understanding of combustion mechanisms, catalytic pyrolysis processes, self-heating behaviours, and fuel performance. Her research extends to the evaluation of coal and coal mixtures, the thermal behaviour of biodiesel and waste-derived fuels, and the kinetic modelling of decomposition reactions, with applications in energy conversion, materials processing, and sustainable engineering. She has published extensively in respected international journals, often serving as the corresponding author, and her work demonstrates strong interdisciplinary relevance across chemical engineering, materials science, and energy studies. Through numerous research projects, she has contributed to developing innovative methodologies for analysing thermal stability, reaction pathways, and structural transformations of engineering materials. Her scientific output supports advances in clean energy, fuel optimisation, material durability, and environmentally responsible resource utilisation, positioning her as an active contributor to applied chemical and thermal engineering research.
