Qichi Le is a distinguished professor at Northeastern University, China, specializing in magnesium alloys and electromagnetic processing of materials. He serves as the Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Electromagnetic Processing of Materials (EPM), Director of the Liaoning Electromagnetic Metallurgy Engineering Laboratory, and Director of the Liaoning Magnesium Alloy Engineering Technology Center. He is also a senior member and standing committee member of the Casting Branch of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering, an executive director of the Magnesium Alloy Branch of the China Society for Materials Research, and a member of various other scientific committees. Prof. Le has led over 10 national-level projects, including the National “863” and “973” Programs, the National Science and Technology Support Program, and the National Key R&D Program. With a prolific academic career, he has published over 450 papers, including 300 SCI-indexed articles and 120 JCR first-tier papers. He holds over 80 invention patents, has edited one textbook, and contributed to four monographs. He has supervised 28 Ph.D. students and over 80 master’s students. His expertise and contributions have earned him numerous prestigious awards, including the Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award (2023).
